Help picking primary
I was wondering if anyone could suggest an upgrade to my current Braton. I am using the Rhino with dual broncos and scindo.

I have never really thought of upgrading the Braton, but Im assuming there are better weapons out there.

The Boltor, Hind, and Burston are really good upgrades from the Braton.
Boltor: Boltor shoots bolts that can pin enemies to walls which is always entertaining to watch. The only problem is that the bolts have travel time and the accuracy isn't too good over long distances. The Boltor leans more towards puncture damage which is better for Grineer.
Burston: The Burston is a semi-automatic rifle that shoots 3 rounds bursts. The Burston is a well balanced gun since it deals 10 damage on all damage types (Puncture, Slash, and Impact). The Burston isn't too good for large crowds but is still a great weapon.
Hind: The Hind is very similar to the Burston. It's a semi-automatic burst-fire weapon just like the Burston, but instead it shoots 5 round bursts. The Hind has the same amount of damage as Burston and deals the same amount of damage for each damage type (10). The Burston, however, costs less resources to craft than the Hind does.
I'd go for either Hind or Burston. They are great beginner weapons and scale well with all enemies since it deals equal amounts of damage for all damage types. I hope I helped! :)

It depends on what you like, if it's a shotgun, most recommend the Sobek, since an update it looks like the Grakata is a lot better, especially for beginners, the Vectis is also a good option, it has really good damage but it has a 1 bullet reload.

It really depends on your playstyle and your mastery level.

I might check out the shotguns. Since I am currently running rhino, I am enjoying sticking my braton down enemies throats with rate of fire through the roof.

DPS comparisons are worth noting and my influence your decision. Keep in mind it hasn't been updated since Grakata was tweaked so it's output will be a bit higher.

Grab the Soma. Create using a critical build with your elements. Nothing will stand after you finish shooting. O and forma it 2 or 3 times.

We would've recommended the Soma but it requires Mastery Rank 6 and it seems like he is pretty new to the game right now.

You're build for the Soma is pretty good, however I'd replace Piercing Hit with an elemental mod instead.

Whoops forgot about that!! Spent to many hours on this game!! If you forma your braton you won't like to many other rifles. I tried alot of weapons, but the braton and soma are still my goto weapons.

Good suggestion. Maybe wildfire? Slot A is my Grineer battles.

I'm using Boltor and it goes through Grineer as if they were butter. And I loved the stake gun from Painkiller, so that's the reason why I picked it. Also, Boltor was buffed with increased projectile speed and damage in the latest update.

I'd probably add Cryo Rounds since it will do +50% damage to shields. It'll be great against Grineer and Corpus since Corrosive will do more damage against armor and Cryo Rounds will do extra damage to shields. Also, I'm pretty sure that elemental mods will end up dealing more damage to Grineer than mods that increase puncture.

If you're looking for the absolute highest dps possible, try serration, split chamber, point strike, vital sense, speed trigger, and three elemental mods (make sure you rearrange your elemental mods for the faction you're facing). If you want bullet efficiency to save a little ammo, swap speed trigger for a fourth elemental mod.

Surprisingly, Hammer Shot doesn't increase dps as much as a third or fourth elemental mod.

Damage 2.0 really changed the game up. Ima swap my builds and give em a go. Good luck to you OP. Didn't mean to hijack your thread.

So I am about an hour away from rank three. Gonna check out burston and hind and compare. The fancy shotguns look very fun but the one I like, hek is rank 4 i believe

Latron (Prime if you can get it) or Soma. Both do a lot of damage, have good accuracy, Latron has better but both can kill most anything without trouble. The Latron is a marksman/assault Rifle, were as the Soma is a pure assault rifle. I have all three, Latron/Latron Prime Rank30 and Soma Rank 17. They are very good weapons for all missions. Against the Infested I use the Soma, simply because it has a lot larger payload and fighting the Infested means you don't have a lot of time to reload. Otherwise I use the Latron Prime.
For Bows, I've only uesd the Dread, it's great but you need to pick your shots, almost sniper like.

Hek is the strongest shotgun (Besides the Tigris), but it is anti-armor. Sobek is nice, but it has a slow reload for a 20 round mag that can output good numbers into a crowd or pepper a heavy. If you go burston, get a Stabalizer and a metal aug or shred for the punch-through. You wouldn't believe how much more effective a weapon gets when your bullets can go through things. The Hind is the direct upgrade to the burston with more easily controlled recoil- no need for stabilizer. I'd recommend, however, to rank the lower-end weapons: Strun, Mk1-Braton, Braton, and Grakata to 30 before finding a primary to stick to. It's best to get them out of the way before deciding what kind of weapon to make your 'main'
