Actually IIRC the name "boxen" was taken from Cory Doctorow's short story "When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth", where it's what the sysops call their server racks. I have no idea if this is taken from real life or invented, we just thought it was a fun way to pluralize "box"! ;)

The correct german plural of "Box" is "Boxen". Just so you know :D
