A room larger than 5x5 lags the whole game, more than 20 monsters on screen or in game lag the whole game, when the game lags your hand cursor lags too because it's 3D and not a real cursor. All this on a top notch rig.
Your dungeon tiles and walls are green, everytime you meet a red keeper you wonder why can't I be red it just looks so right, greens and yellows are the keepers I invade in DK. This game was made for DK vets in theory but in practice not so much. It apparently is important to the story that you are green, or something.. we'll see but highly doubtful.
The monsters can only be leveled up to level 5, they have no usable skills when possesed just a look around with insane mouse sensitivity. When you pick them up you can not know what's in your hand or what level it is, just release and hope to not slap them in the lagfest that ensues.
It really comes through that key members of the team played only DK2 and not 1 which was and still is art, even with sprites and 2D graphics good enough to look 3D. Still, it scratches the itch, a bit badly but it actually does so.. thumbs up and hopes for a better future.
