Doom 2 Online (FFA, Co-op, Capture the Flag)
Odamex is a Doom engine mod that supports online play. It's free to download and use. We play Coop, Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag on it a lot. It runs on Mac, Linux, and Windows XP/Vista/7/8 with no problems. Just connect to a server and it will download the mods you need.

Nah, zandronum\skulltag are better. Or zDaemon.

I value Odamex's ability to emulate Vanilla Doom behavior and the netcode is superb. I was never really into the novelty mods that Skulltag had to offer me because I like to play classic Doom with its classic guns and quirks. Zan does have Hide and Seek though, which I think is fun.

I'm up for Zandronum. I'm just not very familiar with how it works. I have it I've just never really messed with it other than to make sure I have the right WAD's.

I actually upgraded to the new version this morning. I'm gonna be honest, I prefer this more than ZDaemon. ZDaemon feels like luck to me than actually playing. I did play with Odamex during the summer (after I first tried ZDaemon), and I prefer it more. I went by a different name, but it was also nice chatting with some of the players I met while playing on Odamex.

I wish it did have more players, really is a nice multiplayer client.

I talked Bethesda of the problem that Doom 1,2,3 and quake that have official Linux versions since a long time ago aren't available on steam for Linux. An employee answered me and said he has talked about it to his manager, but I'd better contact Steam also. Ps : Quake 4 also Mac support but not on Steam.
If we want a Linux support for those games that already has one (but not on Steam) everybody should write to Bethesda and Steam support. Here is the Bethesda mail : "ESO English Support" <ESO_Help@helpmail.elderscrollsonline.com>
