I think I get it
I think I get Bientôt l'été now.

You see, the game isn't the whole of it. Rather, it's part of it. Our reactions to it. Our jokes about it. Our walls of text pointing out why it fails as both a game and art. That, my friends, is the art. The game is just a means to an end to encourage us to engage in this performance that we are unaware of, to deliver an experience more natural than an acted one.

lol, jk. But how long before people go around legitimately saying this is the case?

>_> Other games manage to do that while still being games or even good games. I fail to see the point why something considered a failed non-game should be called art when better games cause similar reactions.

There is such a thing as conceptual art where the art object and its form are less consequential than the discourse around it. But this provides too much to really be marked like that, and I would have a hard time being convinced by arguments that say this game anticipates and distributes meaning for the discourse we see around it.

I think we all should be cool with the arguments people make about art and games and just be intellectually honest enough to engage with it. But I also understand the impulse to ignore it all. This ♥♥♥♥ gets deep.

So this game is designed to troll the gamer community?! Mission accomplished!
