See, that's the thing though! This is during what I thought was one of the transition cutscenes where the mage learns her spell from the Blood Rites, so neither of us have any skills or weapons. I think you're supposed to challenge him to a chess game but the board is behind him.
Oh, you're to that puzzle, huh?
Well, you have to walk on the beach and find the trowel, which you use to dig up a seashell. Then you mourn the seashell since it is the remains of a dead animal and hold a funeral. A hermit crab shows up at the funeral and takes the seashell. The hermit crab leaves a piece of poo. You take the poo and bury it. You have the Ironclad Wanderer try to attack you and a watermelon seed falls out of his armor. You plant the seed and it grows a watermelon. An alien beams down and takes the watermelon, giving you a telekinesis helmet. You use the telekinesis helmet to get the chessboard from behind the Ironclad Wanderer.
No, no. This is the Reality chapter after the dream sequence you just described. I remember the moon falling out of the sky and the robot crows appeared shortly afterward.
Ohhhh!
Well, you have to look in a pile of rocks, and you find a ruby. Hold the ruby and squat by the edge of the mountain for 30 seconds. A tornado picks you up. Suddenly you are playing a variation of R-Type, and must shoot the robot crows out of the sky. After that, you must defeat both Majora's Mask and the Anti-Spirals. Then the game becomes a side-scrolling platformer and you start gathering the holy weapons to fight the final boss... but then it turns out he isn't the final boss and you aren't even 1/4 through the game yet.
Wow, thanks! This game was definitely worth the $9.99 USD I paid for it in full.
I know, right? It's such a masterpiece. If only people would look past its exterior to see the true beauty that lies within. That ending... (DON'T SCROLL DOWN IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS)
After defeating Dark King, you get on a boat sailing to Felghana. The camera pans out to show the ghosts of your dead brothers smiling at you. A text scroll then explains that you are the Erdrick of legend, and that your descendants will slay Dracula over the ages.
('Hitchhikers guide' for those unfamiliar with it.)

Actually, I think this might just delete the game. How far have you gotten? At least to the duel with Veritas the Conqueror, right?
He is hyperstrong by Act 3. Don't let his stupid conversation tree and lack of power during boss fights fool you. Turns out he's actually The Baron of Ebon Mountain, but he has amnesia.
