Unfortunately the collision is a little off for reasons mentioned in the last blog post.
To spin the left lock look dead on in the middle of the lock, then look up slowly until it starts glowing. You want to spin this 8 times. Do the same for the next two wheels but spinning 3 and 6 times respectively.

It seems to be locked to 30fps. I have v-sync disabled both in-game and in the nvidia control panel, and selecting different graphic options makes no difference, it's locked to 30fps.
i7 3770k overclocked to 4.5GHz, GTX 660 + 460 dedicated to PhysX, 8gb RAM

That certainly helped a little, I'll keep tinkering with the values

Can not look around with Rift or XBox360 controller in VR-mode.
In Steam BIG PICTURE mode, Rift is enable.
But in Dream VR-mode, it doesnt work.
Only horizontal axis is free with mouse or XBOX controller.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

It now works well after changing the USB port of Rift.
That's not Dream-VR bug.
(I can not understand why Rift worked well in Steam VR BIG PICTURE UI only)

This is how it is meant to be, the Y axis is locked as you are meant to use your head to look around

The Y axis is meant to be locked on the controller and/or mouse, which is what siva said in the last sentence, but not in the first sentence, where it said it wasn't working with controller or Rift. I'm not sure what which was actually meant.

Thanks for adding the support guys.

I've owned this game for awhile but never played it. I just tried it out on the rift - extremely sickening. I generally have good VR legs, but despite a perfect framerate and such, I couldn't do it.

The movement speed is insanely fast (I prefer this when not in VR), almost run speed. There is also head-bobbing which I can't seem to find a way to disable. And the movement with the right stick to look around when I inevitably need to was way too fast. If those three things were fixed, this could be ok. I was able to get less sick while crouched, which causes slower movement.
Also a bunch of the title screens are sickening to luck at, as there seems to be huge latency issues on those not present in-game.

I've tried probably 50 different Oculus Rift demos, and by far this one makes me sick more than any other.

Overall the Rift support feels like sort of a checkmark feature (more like "we'll just enable it in the UDK settings or whatever because we can"). Not that it's a truly bad thing, the more VR the better. But I'll pass for now (even though I already own it) and wait for possible better VR support.

By the way the first spoiler says the username is case sensetive but it only worked for me in lower caps.

It might be that steam big picture was running in the background (which it is supposed to do ofcourse) and claiming the Rift. I think at the moment only one program can use the rift at a time. Valve released a VR API that enables multiple programs to use VR devices, but games must use that API to communicate with the rift for this to work. I'm guessing this will be addressed in an upcoming update of the Oculus UDK plugin.

Ah yes , I had this error when i booted steam in -VR mode and went into big picture.

- Way too fast movement speed for VR.
- Charrecter is too tall (at least inside a house)
- No control of speed when using a controller
- No option for head bobbing
