Problem Starting any of the Classic DOOM's

So, basically, it starts up normally, but when it gets to the title screen (on all dooms, and project plutonia) I try all commands to get past it but it just sticks, I thought it was the enter key or the space bar but at this point I'm not sure. I've tried all sorts of techniques and even tried to see if it's a bug, maybe it's something with my newer computer?

I am having this issue too with all the old doom games i bought on steam. Basically as soon as the first intro screen appears with graphics it will freeze right there, no sound, and no keyboard commands do anything at all.
