New CM2 1.22 update on the way...
We've been listening (though not posting as often as we'd like) and we've tracked down and fixed quite a few issues that have been reported here over the last few weeks (and more) in our up-coming 1.22 update.

So though the update might still be a few days (needs a tad more testing) - I just wanted to let everyone know it's on it's way.

Great to hear. I hope, these "freezing" issues are solved (i.e. game hangs in a loop and nothing continues).

If by freezing issues, you are referring to when a Mob gets stuck and the game can't progress, then yes, we have addressed this in the following way:

All mobs now have a timer on them that is used to check how long they take between waypoints on their path, and if they ever reach 10 seconds without be able to move to their next path, we kill them, ensuring the game can continue.

We've added this because we have not been able to reproduce the issue here since very early 1.0 versions, so though we totally believe it's happening, we have no idea under what circumstances it's happening, so this method, though brutal, will ensure a game never gets stuck for more than 10 seconds.

Update should go live either today or tomorrow :-)

This workaround sounds good, because it doesn't sacrifice any gameplay. Good idea!

Very good. However, I would still like to be able to progress any of the 39 missions during a mission level, as starting a game, do three missions, and repeat is quite tedious.

We don't have any plans to change the mission behaviour, sorry.
