to be honest All other Ace combat games are better. this one is good too but DFM and ASM which is in game is really ruin the gameplay alot. but it's an okay price it got right now. but watch some videos first.

I'd have to agree with Victorious, i loved the freedom that the older games had and forcing you into the on rails finishing is poorly executed to say the least and should be optional.
It's not a sim game, it's more of an arcade game leaning towards a more sim like control of the plane,if simplified.

I haven't played the other Ace Combat games, but I like this one. If your looking for a sim look else where, if you just want to fly and blow stuff out of the sky then this game is great! and for the price you really can't go wrong.

If you like this one, it will take some getting used to, I played for about an hour and a half the other night, everything doesn't feel right to me, I liked all other games, even the 3DS ace combat I had fun with. This has been the most disapointing to me so far, for 7.49 or whatever I got it at when it was 75% off it wasn't bad, but I would suggest waiting till it goes on sale for extremely cheap.

There's a good game trying to get out, but it's bludgeoned into submission by the pointless DFM & ASM. The helicopter control is shonky at best. Would have been a lot happier had Ace Combat 4 or 5 been converted instead.

This is absolutely not a sim & a poor arcade game at best. DFM & ASM make this game worthless to me. Ive removed it and wish I had save the 8.99 I payed for it, even at that sale price it's a total disappointment.

I think the DFM gimmick was pretty interesting and made the dog fights more varied. The pacing of the game is a bit rough though. I liked it.

It was worth the sale price, but it's undoubtedly the WORST Ace Combat game out there. Another game tarnished by developers/publishers wanted to capture the "Coowadooty" audience (even the credit rolls felt CoD to me). The DFM/ASM feature seems cool at first, then just gets dull. No matter how many missiles you pump into TGT_LEADs they won't go down until their scripted crash scene.

Terrible story too. Wonder how much that Jim DeFelice got from writing the terrible script. Not a single person memorable in this game.

This game is pretty insulting to people who played the previous Ace Combat games. Having like 4's mechanic of scoring points as opposed to key mission objectives, the helicopter and bomber missions overwelcome their stay, for someone who thought a bulk of the gameplay was going to be in jets. The DFM and ASM in this game was more about the graphic then the game mechanics.

It's barely as interesting as a flash game make in 10 minutes on any website which propose free flash games. Add to that the garbage context of the good versus the evil ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Finally, it's a very poor designed game that not deserve to be sell. I've buy it and I regret it more than any of the games I ever buy.
