Fun action game

I am enjoying this, it's a solid action flying game. Not sure what some of the people on this board thought they were buying but I suspect they are the type who just whine no matter what. The dog fight mode is cool, there is more strategy involved than you might think. It's harder to shake people now, you can't just start flying randomly to get out of any situation, which is something I think some pilots are having a hard time with.

It looks great and provides some good action. The online modes are actually very good with a variety of aircraft being ideal to win. Teamwork goes a long way, I like the quick communication options.

The campaign so far seems solid enough too, although some of the sections where you man a gun are dull compared to the fliying action.

All in all if you want an arcadey flying game with solid multiplayer you can't go wrong.

TLDR: It's fun, ignore the fashionable crybabies.

So you think that there are tons of people complaining about this specific game for no reason?

If they had dropped the "Ace Combat" title from this, there would be less complaints. It definitely set expectations higher.

The type whining here have nothing specific to say and are the type to call everything Call of Duty.

Besides, it's not like it was a secret what the game was about. It's a lot of fun if you take the time to learn how to play it.

In another thread you said the game takes no skill and in the same post said you quit because you couldn't beat a mission.

Yep. When the game autosaves you at a point 3-4 seconds from mission fail, you spent a good amount of time to get there, and you weren't enjoying the game.... it's time to quit.

I didn't mean "no" skill. But less skill, yeah. Actually outmaneuvering someone is harder. Playing multiplayer and using maneuvers with a teammate is loads more fun for me. You should play the older games. I think you'd like them more.

BTW I like Call of Duty. It is what it is.

It stumped you in no time at all. It's a different type of game.

Personally, I think it's generally too easy to fly all crazy and shake people in most games. Flying like a madman is easy. This game really speeds things up and is a nice change of pace.

It's actually quite fun. Maybe you should open your mind and try it again.

If it's not based in reality then there are some mass delusions going around.

I'll try it again and hope they patched that save point. Otherwise it will be short lived. I suspect they may have because people were raving about it on the forums at the time. I'm not unreasonable. Just let down.

Ace Combat veteran here. Obviously I prefer the old AC, but the fighter missions are solid.

It's a good changeup, and I expect Project Aces to put out another game given what they've learned.

it's a pretty alright game, mostly fun, but with many flaws. The chopper main gun is so piss weak it's insane (seriously, autocanon shots bouncing off pick up ?) , the story is just completely cheezy, if that's what a renowned writer can do, I should try becoming one.

Joystick support is a bit meh, and there doesn't seem like there is any occasion to kill planes with guns.
The killcam can sometimes waste your time and take control when you don't want it too, allies are unreliable and often whiny...
Some of the skins are quite questionnable.

I gave this gave 9/10 its awsome only 1 problem with it is when you fire your turret machine gun at the enemy the camera keeps shaking left, right, left right, left , right. Now in real life that doesnt happen to the pilot siting in cockpit. Its bad when that happens casue other aircraft your targeting at keeps shaking left right like it some kind of laag!

I love so much this Ace Combat for PC... also I recommend HAWX 1, HAWX 2, Apache: Air Combat (Yuplay exclusive), Lock-On, Black Shark and JASF (unfortunately the last one has terrible graphics)

mostly aggre with you but i get kills with the gun too well against the ai anyways
some give you a good second to hit them others bank 90 degrees and turn with the elevator try when your in a 90 degree bank and turning with the elevator use yaw to aim the gun sight up and down its the aces (target lead) like sharkmouth who are difficult to hit with the gun

and guns are the best way to go when downing helis in multiplayer as most players in the helis will use that press counter to dodge the missile thing or aim the gun at the incoming missiles but with the gun they have to button no counter bullets
