Edit: I also reset my machine between control systems.
What did you do?
Do you have an original x360 gamepad?? If so it's very weird, the default mapping works even with with the x360ce emulator, check any and every other USB device you have plugged in, just leave the keyboard, the mouse and the gamepad and try again.
I own the 360 version as well; I got this version because it's got all the DLC packs included, and it's something I can take with me on the go, but otherwise, the controls are all exactly the same. I just dove right in with my 360 controller and found it simple. Still, I just don't know what's up with the helicopter parts....
Well, the Co-Op...I've yet to play any of that. I guess you can add me in, if you'd like (I'm big on ACE COMBAT!) but otherwise, I just don't understand what's going on with the helicopter and door gunner issues. I've contacted Namco tech support and forwarded the discussion for them to reference to show that it isn't an isolated issue, but thus far, I haven't gotten a responce back yet.
Now when I boot up and try to play I get exactlry the same experience as the op when using the Xbox 360 controller. Have to try some experiments. Currently re downloading the game on steam, as removing all other USB devices had no joy. What system and operating system are you running this on.
