I did alot just like the other Ac games even that they were better but Ac:ah is good. dfm is bad but rest is okay and i'm a huge Ace combat fan. but 4.5 & zero all the way

Just like to put in my 2 cents here.
I've never played the previous Ace Combat before, but i'm really loving this one.

I just turn off the ingame music, and play Kenny Loggins "Danger Zone" instead.
BAM!! This is as close to the TOP GUN experience as i can ever get. Give it a try!!
So many games have tried to re-create the Top Gun experience but none have come close.

Try it on Multiplayer and fly the F14D Super Tomcat for an even better feel!

It's funny too because most of these "ace" pilots are giving feedback after only playing a campaign mission. Why don't they take their skills online?

Honestly, they came in with preconcieved notions and made knee-jerk conclusions based off extremely superficial information. There is a review on the page right now that's a great example of that.

For anyone not trying to force a square peg into a round hole by playing this like a realistic flight sim, it's some good fun. Bring a controller, you'll need one.

I love this game. The dog fight mode is very innovative and intersting. People need to know that this is an arcade game, not a simulator

This is an excellent game and an excellent Ace Combat game, I have it on Xbox but have bought again on PC because its more Jets N Missile porn at an even higher res.

The only reason the buttmad weeaboo "apparent" Ace Combat fans are seems to be because its a conflict based around America and Russia... and not made up America (Gracemaria... cmon?) and Russia like all the previous games with American and Russian accents and American and Russian jets.

So now they claim its some Call Of Duty style ♥♥♥♥.

If they had kept made up nations I'm certain none of them would be moaning now.

Maybe if they'd given everyone spikey hair they might have liked it :D

While it is true it is not the best AC game, that doesn't mean it is a bad game, I think the story line really hurt it, the whole America is out to save the world, nobody buys that crap anymore.

And the MP community is far from dead, just, for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up reason nobody hosts a game, but go ahead and host one and you will not have to wait long for the game to be filled.

As a real Ace Combat fan who actually beat the games, I think that it is a good game despite not having as interesting a plot as the PS2 ones. While it is too much like Call of Duty, America world police, I didn't feel like the story was any more corny than Ace Combat Zero or 5. I also like DFM (gasp!) because the previous games suffered from problems where all the enemies would just line up behind you to shoot missiles at you and the system gives you a way to counter that without going around in circles.

This is what I dont understand. People say its noob and a "shooter on rails". But hasnt the series always been noob/arcadey? I mean, now its actually interesting and you have the feeling of being in a dog fight. Im previous ace combat games you just fly in circles like the guy said. I found the flying very repetitive in the older games. I didnt find the multiplayer combat nearly as enjoying as this. In this, its a bit more dynamic and the you actualy have a chance now to take better pilots down. The DFM support feature adds a teamwork incentive as well.

The puzzle pieces fall into place. How can you call yourselves fans of the series if you can't even develop tactics to avoid having planes line up behind you? That's like the first lesson you should learn in Ace Combat! Fly in circles?! YOU SUCK. You need dog fight mode to help you feel better about how bad you suck at Ace Combat. That's why so many people hate it now - Assault Horizon is built for casual noobs.
