You know, I bought this game, hearing that it was cool and fun and was a blend of city building and RPG...

I thought $14.99 was a pretty good price...

I was sorely mistaken. I'm not impressed with this game, at all... It's a very awkward and confusing game, the "City-Building" aspects that it mentions having feel like they were an afterthought... Like someone said, when they 'finished' making the game, "Oh hey, let's throw this in too, just for the hell of it." Oh, and the game feels EXTREMELY unfinished, and like they were trying to rush it all out. I understand it's an indie game... But take some pride in the work you do; at least enough to not make the sprite work not look so... choppy.

Maybe I'm expecting too much, or I'm just jaded as a result of games of the same vein that I enjoy more... But this wasn't worth the $14.99 I paid for it, and I honestly wish I hadn't purchased it now.

It's not "city building..." It's just a tactical map which informs the sidescrolling levels you choose to play. The strategy game makes the levels more meaningful.

I hated the sprites at first, but I got used to them after a few hours.

I find these negative reactions really weird, because me and the two friends I introduced to the game were all instantly addicted to the gameplay.

I hate that you didn’t like the game, and I can understand your frustration. However, at least in my opinion, I wouldn’t say they don't take pride in their games. This game was given to those who bought the first one for free, because they did not like the way first one ended up. And they also do frequent updates, at least they do in AI War, which is another one of their games. So maybe it will get updated to a point where you will enjoy it. I completely agree with you on the sprites though, I never liked them at all, they always looked so weird to me.

The first one is better, No contest.
The first one is way better, I did not enjoy the second one at all.
bith are good, first is awsome, just boght it and spent 4 hours on it, unbelievable...just one more...

there is a Kickstarter for AI war 2!!!!!
4 hours in, and painfully trying to beat the game... The first was much better.

Wasn't too bad, played 11 hours, and beat the game. If there was a more interactive guide the game would be better as I lost twice before I even found the strat that works to win, and my early targets.
