I would suggest going to our website, getting the free demo, and giving it a try. You can download it here; http://www.arcengames.com/w/index.php/valley2-downloads

This game is pure win, imagine terraria but actually good. I couldnt really get into terraria with its extremely slow paced gameplay, repetitive animations, and 8 bit graphics. This is faster, more action packed, has better music and overall just a more meaningfull game.

Kinda like Contra/Turrican meets Actraiser.

My take is that it's basically two different games: A turn based strategy game, and a shoot 'em up platformer. The gameplay alternates between the two. Each tile in the strategy game represents a level of the platforming game which you can enter. Finishing a level in the platforming portion either opens up new sections of the map in the strategy game, or makes your character more powerful. Finishing a level that opens up new tiles on the strategy map also moves the game ahead one turn.
As for co-op, I haven't tried that so I'm not sure.

That's not a bad summary, actually.

As for the co-op, it's basically the same game, except you are working together to achieve the same goals. This of course means that the enemies get individually a bit tougher and such, or the game would be too easy, but, the game doesn't change much when you add other people.
