Gamepad Glitchy
I'm using a standard xbox 360 gamepad and my controls have been so flaky in this game, that I initially thought there was something wrong with controller. However, I went back and tested it with other games, and it is not a problem with my controller. Whenever I use the analog stick, control just doesn't feel "tight". Often, my guy won't start moving in the direction I hold right away, or else he'll continue moving in a direction after I stop holding in that direction. What the heck?

People in the main Arcen Games Forum are talking about this, so hopefully we can tell the devs to alter this so it is better for controller players. :)

I have quoted you and can tell you of any changes which happen if you want.

Thanks, I was posting here hoping that the Arcen folks check this forum, as many indie devs seem to. I'm glad to here that it's not just me having the issue, as it means there's hope yet of getting it fixed.

They check quite often. :D Look out for TigersFan whenever he posts.

I just coe and help out with questions and things whenever I can answer them so they can focus on other things. Plus it is a discussion quite a few are having and didn't want you to think of yourself alone. :)

If you want, you can always check here: http://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/board,92.0.html

That is the main Arcen Valley 2 Forum where a friendly bunch of people discuss the game and help out others. Alot more active than these forums. :D
My gamepad experience is a bit flawed as well. All of this is as of version .714

On the side-scrolling sections of the game, the game detects me pressing up too easily, this locks me into a stationary position so I can shoot at angles. This is a fantastic idea (angled shots locking one into place) that saved the game for me, but the deadzone is way too wide.

In menus: I have a very hard time moving up and down through the different sections. I need to move up and to the left to go up. I need to go down and to the right for down. Moving up is hit or miss, but it is MUCH more reliable than moving down.

I play all of my games with a gamepad, and it works fine with all of them.
