Flesh Golems at Pirate's cove
I remember playing this game when it came out in 1998 and owning at that game because I was sort of the obsessive type in terms of looting and exploration. I also remember taking down golems without a problem because my characters were around lvl 5 (usual tactic - having a character tank, while everyone else throws their weight into them with magical + gear). Playing it now with my party at around lvl 3 with very few magical gear and having delt with all the sirens on the beach (with some problems but managed to get out of the situation through baiting and ALOT of antidotes), im having trouble dealing with the flesh golems than i did when i first played due to my level now. I did the same tactic as before (having a tank character take the brunt of the blows) but to no avail since every punch they make pretty much screams "Mike Tyson".

Any tips that you guys used to fend them off while keeping your characters alive? Should i just keep exploring for more loot and reach my previous lvl back when i first played the original version (level 5)?
I haven't done the Iron Crisis quest in the Naskel Mines yet by the way.

Yeah Golems are kinda tricky at low levels.
They dole out quests in order to maintain difficulty level.
You answered your own question.
It's doable now but in 2 levels it won't be reload city.

Following the main quest would be a good idea as the enemies are leveled to starting level chracters, such as Nashkel. The main quest would allow you to gain experiance and money and good equiptment. I would recomend following it.

I cleared the cave with my canon party at level 2-3. It just requires enchanted weapons and good manouvering. It helps to lure them out of the cave one at a time so you have space while peppering them with ranged.

Woah, monsters can now follow and transition from area to area now just like in BG2? Sweet, thanks so much for the tip :D

Avoid the traps. They added traps to it (if you are referring to the cave with the constitution manual).
