Can I dual wield Longswords?

I made a Human Archer (which starts with two proficiency slots in Two-Weapon Style), so I bought two longswords, but I don't know how to equip them both. Do I need a smaller weapon or just a higher level? (I haven't left Candlekeep yet)

You can dual-wield, just put the second sword into your shield slot (to the right of the character doll on the inventory screen).

I tried that a couple times and it just told me that I couldn't because I was using a two-handed weapon (the Longsword, I guess.)

Hm... Have you removed the two-handed Staff you have in your hands at the start? It's important to remove it before trying to equip the swords.

Yeah, you need to remove any 2-handed weapons or range weapon before you can dual-wield.

Personally I absolutely LOVED the Kings Field series on Playstation consoles that Dark Souls sprang from, but it makes me rather sad that Dark Souls has to have GFWL. Never again.

Isn't there a game that also came before Dark Souls as well? Maybe console only? I can't remember at the moment.

yep Demon's Souls, PS3 exclusive, but 100% worth playing. better than Dark Souls, IMHO.

Ah! Yes that's the one. Also I always wanted to get those Shadow Tower games as they are also in a similar vein as King's Field.
