Help! I cannot play the game :P

Well, not really. The game launches, but what I see is a white scrreen and the game options. I can go through every menu without problems but always with the white screen.
I create a character and when the game begins, what I see is my character floating on an empy space.
So, any tips about how to solutionate this?

What are your specs? I know if you are running with Intel graphics you will get a white screen.

If your system is Intel integrated chip , the solution is only wait next patch coming ,and it may half of months or one ~ two months later,

Finally fixed.
Don't have any idea how. I though it could be a problem with the drivers and updated them, but didn't got any results. Tried again from the system options and sudendly worked :s
I can play alrigth now, but I swear to god that I don't understand how. Cause the previous update I had tried came from the offcial drivers of my card :p

Same, white screen, nothing else. I like steam because this normally doesn't happen, I am starting to lose faith :( But I do have intergrated intell junk. Guess I have to wait and hope.

Cannot play it either, game starts fine, character creation goes fine.Then when the game starts, everything lags like a mother****er. I belive this is because my intel. Any word on when the patch comes? i love this game and wanna play it

my game seems to play fine but it flashins when i get in to my and when i go to pick up the armor the mouse becomes invisible and i can't see where im clicking but everything else works great it seems most thing set it off like arrows thick armor shields helms haven't notices anything else yet but its fine to fine out what you can wear what you can't lol

I ahve the stupid integrated intel graphics, is there a reliable graphics card I can get that won't have so many problems?

waaaaaaaaaaaaaah I will freak out! I spent the last days to play the game normally. I've played 20 hours. And today, I start the game, and crash. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled, also does not work. No workaround helps, nothing helps. I'm really angry ...

You might have to wait awhile. Everything related to BG is "paused" until they resolve contract issues (check out "Dee's" second comment here http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/19376/announcement-baldur-s-gate-enhanced-edition-has-been-temporarily-removed-from-sale/p2).

The reason you couldent play is because of a resalution glitch, if it ever happens again just press alt+enter to go into windowed, close the game and start it up again in widowed mode and it will work. you can press alt+enter again to get fullscreen mode after starting and it will work

In the top thread i read that pressing the Windows key to return to Windows and then going back to the game also helps. *doesn't own the game, though*

In short:
1. Remove/uninstall your current OpenAL from control panel
2. Go to https://www.openal.org to download the latest OpenAL file
3. Install the downloaded file
4. Run the game smoothly as ever
