Multiplayer issues...

A friend and I are playing with Hamachi (easiest way to do multiplayer, bypassing all that crazy port nonsense), but she is using the Beamdog version of the game, instead of steam. Apparently our games are updated differently... Does anyone know if the BGEE steam version updates regularly? My friend said her Beamdog version automatically updates, but for some reason, she can never connect to my game, it tells her her game is not up to date, so either my game is out of date, or hers is. Does anyone know how to fix this?

patch it to 2014, and if that doesnt work... you can always try a 3rd party program like hamachi
