Does not work with Radeon Cards
This game does not seem to work properly with AMD Graphics cards. When i start up the game (which doesn't even have a picture for its desk top short cut, just a white page wtf?) the menu screen flickers non stop and the text in all the boxes is missing making it impossible to know what every button does without trial and error and even when I do get the right one to start the game none of the in game menu's have text either making this game unplayable for me. I know its not the computer itself because this computer is brand new and very powerful. can run WoW on ultra without lag so not being able to handle a game from 1998 seems down right insulting lol. I'm hoping they have plans to fix this soon because this game has a lot of nostalgia for me.

I have 7670 and it works fine. Return to desktop when screen flickers and then return to the game again. or try alt+tab.

I have a 6350. No issues here. Try updating your drives, checking if your specific card is compatible etc.

Works for me.

I too have a Radeon card and I am having horrible lag everywhere I go in the game. The intro used to just be blank and make a bunch of strange noises so I just skipped it, until today--with the new patch which made the intro start working but it was still acting slow and you could tell since the sound was not keeping up with the video. Upon loading the game again I was recieving the same terrible lag as before.
It's a shame since I can run the original Baldur's Gate 2 with no problem on this machine. I bet if I installed the original version (which I do not own) it would probably work as well. Poor formatting is my guess.

@Ascendent, I have an AMD HD-7970 GPU and I just loaded the recently patched game just fine.

I also have an AMD FX 8350 CPU along with 8GB of DDR3 RAM running on Win 7 Pro, x64-bit.

I have recently installed the BETA 13.2 Build 7 catalyst drivers too and I can attest this works fine in this and other games like Skyrim for instance.

Yeah figured out my new PC's vid card is not working, computer wont even detect it so they sent me a broken card. Right now my pc is running the onboard graphics card Intel HD 4000. So when i get a working card it should work fine.

I have a 7870 and I have the same problem. Constant screen flickering.

I have an XFX Radeon 7950 and the game seems to work, but there is no multi monitor support. Playing with 3 monitors makes the game center between my left and center monitor. Playing windowed mode works, but is small.

Exact same issues as OP. I have a M7970 using the January drivers.

I have an AMD Radeon 6570, and the game won't open at all. I'll try to re-install and update this post if it works this time around.

Edit: The game doesn't even flash up for a fraction of a second. I immediately get the Windows 7 "...has stopped working" prompt.
