Patch?

Almost started my first multiplayer game today, but I need the patch. When will it be released on Steam?

they already patched it a little while ago once. atari got their hands on the second patch from beamdog and is in the process of giving it to steam for testing. Last time it took a week to 2 weeks long for it to reach steam once atari got the patch.

Hmm, I understand Steam now has the patch... just got to wait for them to install it..

assuming you could do that, you could then only multiplay with others with the same patch. Right now you can play with everyone else that posts an IP (or whatever).

It's also possible that if you turn Steam on for just a second (to check out the sales or ask a question on the forums, for instance) that Steam will notice and automatically cause you to download the un-patched file again. Actually, I'm not sure if this would really happen since BG has such a large number of files. But it certainly does happen in other Steam games.

I've tried connecting with someone who got the game from Beamdog and they have version 2014. I couldn't connect because the Steam version isn't up to dat yet...
