Wish I'd looked on this forum before purchasing

I'm a huge fan of the Baldur's Gate series, I even have the Good Old Games pack, however I was willing to buy the game again to have the better graphics, enhanced gameplay and extra features.

What a disappointment this turned out to be. The character selection has been trimmed down to make the whole process arbitrary. The graphics, and in graphics I mean resolution, have been improved marginally. Other than the points mentioned there is nothing 'enhanced' about this version at all.

There's a split in people replying to posts on this forum as to whether it's worth complaining to Valve about a purchase for £14.99, and I guess I've spent money on worse things, however, in the scheme of things this is nothing more than miss-selling.

I may or may not take this further, I'm not sure whether I can be bothered at the moment, but my advice to any potential purchasers of this game is to buy the GoG version and give this a wide berth.

I don't have this yet. What do you mean when you say that character selection was trimmed down?

it wasn't trimmed down. in fact depending on whether or not you owned the Tales of the Sword Coast back in the day, its possibly expanded.

Additions like; New characters and quests, The Black Pits, the handy "zoom" feature, over 400 issues fixed...
I guess it comes down to personal choice of if you think this version, BG:EE is worth it and enjoyable or not. To me, it was worth it and I much enjoyed playing through it.

Humans are the only race that can be every class availiable but it's always been like that...

i just went in and counted the possible classes you can create as a human, and there are 42 of them. that is not "trimmed down" in the least
