So basically this thing costs more than the Baldur's Gate 4 in 1 Box set that has BG1 and 2 plus the expansions. Not to mention that this "enhanced edition" is nothing more than a worse version of BGtutu, and it even adds more bugs to the game. The new characters are shallow and add nothing of value to the Game.

Agreed. There is very minimal amount of new content. And its buggy to the point of game breaking.

Agree also. Not much 'enhanced' here. They should have 'enhanced' the goldbox games in the bg2 engine instead, but that would require actual work.

I think you miss the point, people who use steam want their games on steam or the OP wouldn't be complaining.

Not really I'm complaining that they wanted to release a more bugged mess than the original one for double the price. Was just a fair warning to people who want to try the game, better off getting it cheaper elsewhere and modding it, at least it wont crash to desktop every 20 minutes...

Yep especially at $20. In their defense I think the IPAD conversion was the main point of this update and it apparently works ok. Installing ALL the mods including TuTu can take alot of time and having a nice updated version in my steam library would be nice, for around $5

This always happens when someone tries to remake old games. You can't remake a classic, especially when it was originaly made by far superior developers (Bioware), who most likely had a far bigger budget at the time.

What a rip-off :( As much as I love seeing old games seeing a second spring... I bought the original game at this price back in 1998!
Well still a nice reason to fire up my virtual win95 and re-install the original game from my backups :D

I honestly don't know much about what the developer did or did not do, however the OP should really change the title of this thread. Everything discussed here leads to the game being overpriced, and not being a "scam". Calling a product a scam is something completely different.

I don't know about "scam", it's not being misadvertised or anything. Ripoff? Sure, cause there is little doubt that it is overpriced as hell when you can buy the D&D anthology for the same price... then apply the FREE widescreen patches and mods.

I've played the game through once already, no crashes. Not once. I haven't seen any 'Bugs' in the game that you all keep referring to. If you dont want to buy it off steam, then don't, and how would you know if it's buggy when you all keep preaching that the GoG version is better? Did you go buy the BG series from GoG and then buy the steam version and compare? Yeah you're all saving a lot of money there...There's nothing wrong with the steam version...
