Loss of all weapon skills after lvl up
So ive played this game alot and ran into this bug for the first time. After lvl up i will lose all my weapon skills. it can happen early levels as well as much further into the game. Its not happening to everyone in my party and seems sort of random i figured it might have somthing to do with items but have not tested it out yet. Anyone have this problem before? any fix?

I think it is a bug related to the Luck spell. Have you cast Luck on anybody affected just before it happens?

Same problem. All weapon skills are gone and I'm sure i did not use luck on all of my companions. Any tips how to fix it ?

Yes. Apologies to entreri, it's a common bug. Unfortunately i noticed that after playing for quite a long time and can not be bother with starting all over again. Means my group is nerfed :p . But it's all because of this dorn luck.

There's a hotfix for it in the Baldur's Gate forums, but to get your skillpoints back, you'll need to use either Shadowkeeper or EE Keeper.

http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/16497/ee-keeper-updated-to-v1-0-2

You can get EE Keeper here.

I found that EEKeeper, but unfortunately can't make it work with Steam version. Tried to follow instructions from original forum, but it does not work for me. I am setting the path of installation in settings for EEkeper, but options under Files are still inactive. If anyone had any suggestions of how to make it work I'd be greatful.

There's a PDF with additional installation instructions (located on the first page of this thread http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/16497/eekeeper/p1 ). I remember that Shadowkeeper wouldn't function unless you had a specific file unique to BG2: SoA/ToB, but I'm not entirely sure if that's the case with EEKeeper. That said, the program did prompt me to locate the installation paths for both games.

If you're still having trouble, the best place to ask would be in the BG forums. The modding community there has been messing around with the game since the original release, and they're extremely helpful. Generally, if they can't find a fix to the problem, it'll be cleared with the next patch.

EEkeeper worked fine for me, remember your saves are usually under /documents and not under your main install path.

Works fine. What i was missing was a right language selection :). Make sure you picked the right one. Thx for help guys.
