How can I view my parties spells and abilities?
I can see there quick slot spells, but there are no descriptions on what they do. Where do I go to look at what those spells do?

You can right click on the spell in your spellbook. Or you can find a copy of the old game manual, the one that came with this was neutered.

Lots of websites offer spell descriptions for BG spells as well. Google is your friend.

original manual was 80 pages long and had a description of everything, i actually think it was an active part of the game

you might even want to print it

Right clicking pretty much anything should bring up a description box of some kind, if not then you might want to re-install or something as its bug'd.

Lmao, nobody has seen game directory. Manual is still there. Read it.
Don't use google, it will spoil the game.

If you right click and it doesn't have a description you can hover over it and a name will pop up. That's helpful when you're learning the icons.

The name often doesn't give me any idea of what the spell does. Sometimes it does, but mostliy no.

What is the spell you want to know?
But have a look in the manual [], it has a magic casting section.

Honestly, you can mess around with lots of spells, but for the most part two or three spells per level is all I use. It does take a while to remember which icon is Melf's Acid Arrow and which icon is Flame Arrow, but that's totally normal.

On the left side is your spellbooks for priest / druid and mage. Click the character, then click the appropriate spellbook. Right click on the icons to read the entire description of the spells.
