About familiars

so I am playing multiplayer and at one point the mages familiar came under my control (I am the host). It still was giving him the max Hp so he didn't mind anyways after a while I ended up leaving it in the inn of nash(whatever the ending is(yes I simply forgot the thing I am not some asshat dust mephit hater)). We left it behind for many days and eventually the wizard made a new one. Just a bit later we found the forgoten mephit so well my main question is would losing both cause a loss of two con forever?
