What mods should I get?

I'm playing BG and BG2 for the first time with the Enhanced Editions. I know that most of the fixes previously provided by mods are now rolled into the game. Every older game I've ever played, I'm always told to play it without mods the first time through, and I respect that, but I'm not looking for anything that (I think) will change the core experience. Like, I don't want new fanmade NPCs or quests or anything, or something that will completely overhaul or rewrite combat, but tweaks or fixes or small changes would be appreciated. Graphic overhauls are good too.

Is there still a point to BGT or BGTutu now that both games run on a revamped BG2 engine?

I'd go with one of the ai mods if you get overwhelmed air commanding 6 characters at once. Also a portrait pack is nice since the portraits in the game are limited.
