i hate this enhanced edition i want my old game back

I hate this version it looks totally wrong plays totally wrong how do i get the oridginal version back?

You can use the Steam app, open the beta subscription channel for this game and revert to the old v1.3 release from end of 2014. It's not a beta release. It's just offered in that channel out of convenience. You will lose all fixes added in the v2 series, however:

You may buy the Baldur's Gate enhanced edition games pack at GOG, where they include also the ancient original version.

If it's the looks that is hurting you the most...make sure you have "sprite outlines" turned off and there is a mod that will put the original cut sceenes back in. Not really sure why they thought they needed to change them...or why they have sprite outlines enabled by default.

As far as the "plays" part goes...I don't think you can get the original game rules into the EE edition via any existing mod. That isn't something many people have wanted.

The UI looks amateur. I wish they wouldn't have tried to update it since they obviously lack the skills to do a professional job.

the game no longer plays right your team dont use their brains at all anymore it looks atrocious and all the changes detract from immersion

Use their brains? Even in the old game I would seldom run with AI on...it never worked well. In EE it is actually better...though any custom scripts from the old days will not work due to the fixes. It still isn't great...but it isn't often I need to turn it off.

Heh, though even if it even if it was completely horrible...I'd put up with it just to have the loot bar. Amazing improvement
