What about boarding ships

I am playing one of the short quest. I have to build a drydock which I did buit can't figure out how to get onboard the ship.. Can anyone help? There is nothing in the manual and all the game says is you load from a beach hex but how? please help

Walk your army to a beach square and then move your boat to a tile touching that beach square. Then select your army and right click on the boat as if you were moving to that tile.

Perhaps you are not finding the beach tile? Maybe post a screenshot of where you are trying this at?

I am on a beach. I was told by the game to build a drydock whic I did. On the upper left is a tile that shows a ship and says "Quests" but I do not see a boat anywhere on the map. I am playing a scenero not a campain game. I just do not understand ..I don't see any ship and I built the drydock. I would think then you must build a ship but the build quae does not have that option

That's good otherwise you're left with a lot of unplayable map i.e. sea.
