Two very different types of games. EL is a superior, truly innovative Civ-like game. FE:LH is more about tactical battles, building up troops, deploying magic, even while it does have a strong strategic component. It also permits much larger "worlds" than EL, in my experience, though EL's gameplay is more distinctive depending upon the race you choose. FE:LH is more like Microprose's old Master of Magic, though with a quite a few changes. Both are excellent games.

So think about which kind of game you prefer. And if you have questions about specific features, ask.

Forget Endless Ages, I bought that in beta barely touched it... Was a waste of money but this game is good but is showing it's age for those who have played it for awhile.

I find the map screen graphics too cluttered and confusing in EL. Difficult to see armies etc. It's eadier to play fully zoomed out. I prefer playing FE.

EL uniquely. It is a matter of attitude of developers to its product.
