Halo themed mod?
If I were to create a halo themed mod for CoH, would any of you play it?
I know nothing about coding and such but I'm sure there will be mappers etc who can help and I'm gonna try to learn how to do it, but I don't want to try if nobody will play it.

coh2 has map building open to the public if relic select your map you get all the bells and whisltes,praises and glory,go for it.

The coh engine is great. The cover system is excellent. I don't care much for Halo, but i'd like to see a star wars mod or starship troopers even.

Does anybody have any experience with things like modelling or coding (especially coding, modeling I could probably figure out on my own eventually)? Or know anyone that does?
The only problem I have massively is that the mantis is a 2 legged mech, as is the cyclops which I'd use as a base builder unit, and the guy that made the mech mod for coh won't answer my messages
And that the wraith is a mortar tank but I don't want it to fire like artillery, it needs to have a very acute angle of firing, much like if not identically to halo wars

EDIT: just to add, there isn't a lot of work to do on the modelling or coding for the UNSC (human faction) as the vehicles can be used and reused, but edited to look like the halo vehicles, for example I wish to add a Gremlin armoured car to the universe, armed with a 20mm cannon, like the wehr armoured car in vCoH, but the Gremlin looks very similar to the staghound armoured car that belongs to the British but without a turret, meaning that the Staghound model can be edited with some minor changes, not too difficult I'd imagine
It's mostly copying as well, but the coding is the tricky bit and I could have everything ready, the new maps, weapons units vehicles, but without a coder to give the doctrines and change the way the Coventant (alien faction) behaves with their gunfire etc, its not gonna go anywhere

Well I solved my wraith problem, use the german StuH assault gun, that also fires low trajectory shells :D

And I sure as hell ain't buying that POS, even if it was moddable.
It's bloody awful, for the units I'd be saying you need to buy this and that and all sorts of ♥♥♥♥, CoH is OF and ToV, nice and simple lol
Plus I've played CoH 2 on the free weekend and it aint got half the units that CoH1 has that I'd need to model off of. I'm gonna be heavily using the PE to create the units as they have the most related units for quite a few, and the British too.

hey any of you guys know anything about corsixs mod studio?
ive been fiddling with it, and have a few working units, and a 2 man squad with regenerating health for spartans with shields, but they dont have any guns, trying to give one an mg42 (for now just to set it up in ww2 terms before the actual modelling starts), and one a G43 (the one the Panzer Grenadiers from the PE get for a 50 munitions upgrade, but cant seem to do it. I've tried adding it to the knight.apb file but it hasnt worked unfortunately

If you really want to get this mod started you should open a page for the mod at moddb.com
There are serveral good Coders and Texture Makers on this site just look at the other mod pages and conntact people like halftrack and ask him for help. This way it will get a bit more attention then just a steam forum post.

I was thinking of doing it, but they said I need to show progress, but with no models or anything like that, I have no progress to show, other than what I am doing with Corsix's Mod Studio.
