Is there an EDuke32-type program for Doom and Hexen?
I've got Doom 1 & 2, Heretic and Hexen on Steam and I want to play these games in a higher resolution and with proper WASD controls. However, I have no experience with source ports and I'm not really interested in the modding features that they're designed for.

So is there a simple program like EDuke32 that I can load without fuss? And before anyone mentions Doom 3: BFG Edition, I am aware of that but I'd like to play the unaltered versions of the games (and of course it doesn't include Hexen).

Thanks.

Use Brutal Doom. It turns Doom into the best FPS that's been released in at least 5 years.

Get GZdoom. Automaticly finds all the doom engine games on your pc. Works perfectly straight from the download. Works with doom 1, 2, heritic, hexen, etc. Lets you run in pretty much any resolution and improves textures etc. Though I know you said you dont want mods but I would also recommend brutal doom, and also a brightmap mod that improves the ambient lighting.

GZDoom did the trick. And now I feel weird because I could swear I've used GZDoom before. I must have downloaded it without realising the significance of what I'd downloaded.

Anyway, thanks very much.
