Brutal DooM on Steam
Exactly as it says on the tin, is it possible to set the GZDoom I have in my Brutal DooM folder to automatically use Brutal DooM &, thus, allow me to add Brutal DooM on Steam?

Go to your zdoom.ini in your GZDoom folder and find this line of code:

[Global.Autoload]

Under this line there will be this line:

[Doom.Autoload]

What you need to do is find out the precise path where you put your Brutal Doom pk3 file. You can do this by right-clicking the pk3 and selecting properties. It will be in that window. Copy and paste the path under [Doom.Autoload].

It should look like this:

[Doom.Autoload]
Path=PASTE YOUR BRUTAL DOOM PATH HERE

An example path would be C:\My Documents\GZDoom\brutalv018a.pk3, but it depends on where you have the folder placed. Save the file, close, and then open up GZDoom to test.

Amazing! It works like a charm, thank you very much for the info. For all the others:even if you have completed doom 1 milion times over the years try this mod it is fantastic and it changes the gameplay too in some way:a new weapon(assault rifle),explosion more powerful, enemies act in different way etc..

An abridged version of what BryanFury says: It takes the FPS classic, and perfects it (especially if you use it with the DooM metal music wad, if you ask me).

I'm guessin this doesn't work on windows. Every time I try this it just makes me play regular doom and if I put all the mods into a new skins folder it just only shows the maps I downloaded nothing else works.

It works on Windows. Try putting your brutal file (current version is v19) in your gzdoom folder. And when you edit the ini, you have to take the filename into account. My example had brutalv018a as the filename but you might have v19.

I apologize for being lazy and noobish in general but I recommend someone do a youtube video on getting brutal doom to run for ultimate doom or doom 2 with baby steps or something

I also apologize for bumping
