Diablo Mod for Doom?
I don't know enough about Doom or its engine to know if this would be possible, but has anyone made any sort of Diablo-style mod where you go through the levels and fight the bosses of Diablo with more medieval weapons rather than firearms and sci-fi weapons? If it hasn't been made, would it even be possible? Sorry if I sound stupid here, but I've been thinking about getting this for a while and I was just curious.

Heretic / hexen come to mind, but those are games. Same engine however.

Yes, it is possible. The problem is nobody ever tried to do Diablo and Doom crossover.
I have tried to do that hovewer, but it was a long time ago and I was alone so the project is abandoned.
In fact, the creation of a Doom mod is a really easy process. All you need to do is to write some code and map some levels. If you want more you can add custom textures, music, sprites, you can rebalance the gameplay or ever rewrite the whole game within around a week of doing it 4 hours a day. So if you REALLY want Diablo in Doom, just make it. It is really easy when you get into it. Use ZDoom - the most advanced Doom engine, or Zandronum - the online Doom engine. They are different: ZDoom features extremely variable and fluid coding system and has original Doom graphics quality, but it only supports LAN. Zandronum uses OpenGL istead of the original pixelated rendering and is ONLINE (hundreds of people will play with you if your mod will get popular), but it has less coding capabilities.
You decide.
I'm repeating: it is easy to create a Doom mod. You just have to wish it.

Wow, thanks. I never thought it would be that easy. I'm going to have to check these out now. Maybe I can combine a game I've loved since I was a child (Diablo) and combine it with a game I've just recently started to love (Doom).
