best dosbox settings for Doom?
i'm trying to get rid of the choppy frames on game and make the sound a little more better.

I dont want a source port as it does not keep track of my ingame hours. I want dosbox to run nicer. help?

You can use a source port AND still keep track of your IG hours, you just need to edit the bat file.

Ok, you can follow my guide for every source port, personaly I use zdoom:

Go to ..\Steam\SteamApps\common and find the folder "Ultimate Doom" . make a backup if you want.
In the Zdoom folder you downloaded previsouly, copy everything.
Now in the Ultimate Doom folder, go to the base folder and delete dosbox.exe
Paste everything you copied from the zdoom folder in the base folder and rename zdoom.exe to dosbox.exe (yes I know it's weird)
And now if you launchultimate doom through steam, it will launch zdoom but the game time will be tracked.

Of course you can use this guide for any source port you want to use.
I hope I was clear enough and happy new year :) .
