Brutal DOOM sound fx note playing

So I just insralled brutal doom and everything was working fine until I started playing and there were no sound fx. When I start up the game and it does it's loading thing I see a line of red text shoot by to fast for me to read but it says something about "nosound". Anyone know how to fix this?
