What's the simplest way to play Brutal Doom multiplayer?

I know the gist of how to do port-forwarding stuff. I own Doom, I've got Brutal Doom set up with GZDoom. It's all fine and good.

I want to play through the Brutal Doom single-player maps with other dudes. Where do I go from here? How's it set up? Please explain as simply clearly as possible.
