Where's the setup.exe? dafuq
This probably isn't going to concern the majority of you who are running DOOM off of sourceports, which is just about everybody.

But for DOSBox users, there's basically no way to adjust keyboard controls & the like. The setup.exe originally included with these games allowed you to do that. Why the hell wasn't it included now?

Fortunately, the setup.exe can be found in the shareware Doom. You'll need Dosbox or something to get the app to install its files. The setup.exe works well, and allows you to map movement to WASD instead of the friggin' arrow keys.

I want an explanation for this.

The people who own the rights to the game do not care. Doom still sells as is.

*sigh* I suppose so.

A few other people have pointed out the lack of a setup.exe as well. At least there's a fix for this. :\

It's in the game folder, just launch DOSBox and don't run the AUTOEXEC.BAT/CFG section, then CD to the DOOM folder and run SETUP.EXE as you would have in 1993. :-)

I'd like to point out that the setup.exe and other important executables have been for some reason omitted from the Steam's distribution of Ultimate Doom. Which sucks. Especially now that the old DosBox (0.71) they use is broken on newer Windows OSes. I'd also like to hear what the reasoning for omitting those files was.
