how to fix start screen?

i get stuck using windows 8 i dont know if it runs on windows 8 but game starts then gets stuck on the first screen before start menu. does anyone know how to fix this?

You can use Zandronum too.
It's a great source port and you the mod "Brutal Doom" is compatible with it.

If you want to play without sourceport, just tap F12 a few times when on start screen. It should unfreeze. It's DosBox config issue.

Wait, REALLY?! Wow, I should of came here earlier when I had that problem. But I got a source port so it's all good.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Really )) In the worst case you'd also have to Alt+Enter twice.
