Need Help Running Custom Maps (Dark Forces)

Hi, the reason I'm posting this in here is because the Dark Forces forum is pretty much dead. I haven't gotten a response to either of my posts and I thought someone here may be able to help.

My main problem is that none of my custom maps work. Every time I launch them from the BAT it says that its incompatible with 64 bit versions of windows. I refuse to comply and want a fix for this, and I tried installing the DarkXL engine but no one has any idea whats going on over there and there's at least 3 different methods for installing it, all of which have failed for me. Anyone have a fix? This is getting a little ridiculous.
