- Ultimate Doom (the original Doom plus an extra fourth episode)
- Doom II (released 1994)
- Master Levels (Doom II expansion, released 1995)
- Final Doom (released 1996, quite a bit harder than Doom or Doom II, so maybe play this one last)
I think that's about it.
I know I am reviving a dead thread, but just in case anyone finds this in the future via a Google search...
First, play Ultimate Doom, episodes 1-4. Then play the unofficial 5th episode released in 2018 (It's called Doom Sigil, google it. It was made by Jon Romero himself, and can be downloaded for free as a custom WAD.
Then, play Doom 2 Hell on Earth, followed by the No Rest For the Living expansion.
After that, the Master Levels for Doom II is next. (You could also follow this up with Maximum Doom if you were of a mind, but most people tend to skip this one).
Finally, and appropriately, you have "Final Doom". This one is broken into 2 level packs, TNT and Plutonia.
TNT came first, so play that, and then follow it up with Plutonia.
Bravo! You have finished the classic Doom games! (except Doom 64. Whoops. Better play that next).
