How to set up a game pad to run with Ultimate Doom.

Hi there, I would like to play Ultimate Doom with a game pad. I have never used steam before and some advice would be awesome. Please asume im a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who knows nothing. I need very simplistic advice.

So how about helping me instead of just moving this thread? Should I start spamming ♥♥♥♥ out of your forums? Steam refuses to allow me to log in to request a supprt ticket. What do I do steam magots?

First of all, do you want help with the Ultimate Doom, or Final Doom? i don't see Ultimate Doom in your library, only final doom... I am trying to play Ultimate Doom with a gamepad too, but now I just have to stick with the keyboard even though I've been here pretty much as long as Steam began.
