DoomsDay Engine Server Set-up
Load Doomsday Shell from the Start Menu
Click, Server (menu), New Local Server...
Select Name and Game mode
Leave TCP port on default (13209 TCP I believe)
Tick Public server.

Use the following commands in the console window for the server:
1) server-game-skill 4
2) setmap 1 1

Forward the ports and you're pretty much good to go, as DoomsDay Engine includes its own in game server browser.

UPDATE
I have set-up an autoexec.cfg and server kit, so if anyone has any problems setting the skill level to nightmare, or having respawning monsters, or no coop or team damage (makes friendly fire and kills impossible), etc. let me know.

Doomsday will NOT work for coop until they retcon the multiplayer in "2.0".
Why? The port doesn't correctly differentiate multiplayer flags from their approprate modes.
This means you'll get deathmatch items spawning and potential level behaviors that are not intended to be in the coop gameplay.
Other ports understand this and actually correctly separate the multiplayer flags.

TLDR: Doomsday/snowberry will (currently) NOT be a legitimate coop experience.

DoomsDay has been working in Coop for me for ages, I've never experienced a problem with it and I normally host coop servers.

I'll admit that the Deathmatch (v2.0) items do appear to spawn in DoomsDay Coop though, but this hardly detracts from the experience since I turn item respawning on and friendly fire off.

Despite this, playing E1M3 in Nightmare! is still a pain in the ♥♥♥♥.
