Playing the original engine sounds painful these days, much more enjoyable with a sourceport like GZDoom.

I would like to know as well. I find it odd it would even be an option. I mean who keeps constantly moving their mouse forward or back to move, having physically lift it to redjust it after only moving ten feet and do it continually throughout the game!?

Were mouse's made differently back in the day? Was the game originally made for a track ball type apparatus and we are substituting for a modern mouse?

I play much better with the mouse, but quite frustrating when I move by mistake, especially over ledges and pits. Anyway to cancel the movement part out while keeping the look part in? Thank you.

Go to the mouse section in the options setting, turn of mouse look or whatever its called.

Theres an option in the mousesettings: lookstrafe or keep mouselook thats the settings there.

Can't help but agree, the issue is probably relevant to everyone who boots this game up though... Using this file(game) I can do all the modding I have seen YouTubers go on about right? It being from Steam won't mess with my ability to mod it? (I know old games can be kinda finicky)
