Strat: Using 1 tier walls to slow down enemies
I have been setting up 1 block high walls as a obsticle for enemies on their approach giving my archers time to take them out as they have to climb over each set of tier 1 wall. Anyone else use this strat?

Not a bad strategy, but i personally think it requires too many resources compared to its effectiveness. Surely it slows down enemies, but i think archers would be more effective using tier 3 walls built with an angle of 45° one to another, all around the Crystal, better having one solid defense than many but weak, in my opinion of course. :)

I have a corridor of one block elevations then drops, it takes a minute to get any unit through, and there's 6 archers at the other end so enemies die really quickly.

i have SO many blocks i could just throw them off the cliff. Im talking about having a full base with a big wall archers on it and melee guards on a bridge the enemies will go for the lowest point but they are forced to slow down by climbing over single block walls meaning the archers rip them apart the stragglers make it to the melee guards on the bridge and get funnelled and slaughtered. Only flaws is when the occasional enemy decides to try cut the wall down inside the archers range

Just remember to make it wide, my 2 block wide one gets full up instantly, then they start destroying blocks out of boredom

Also are there more survival mode maps coming? Kinda boring the same one over and over again.

Ive used the 1 tier wall setup to make an unkillable castle. unfortunately past wave 70 there are so many enemies the archers AI loses its mind and they start shooting backwards or sideways and up.

Right. The real beauty of the 1-tier walls is that the enemies don't typically start attacking it unless they get really stuck. If you hard-wall them off with a 2-3 tier wall, they'll attack it much more readily.

It's one of the first things i do after my initial wall ... Next thing I do it try to funnel them though by building walls on the far end like in this pic ( of ya look closely at ya see 2 blocks are missing from the front wall ) . Downside of this is if there are more than 2 trying to get through at the same time they start breaking it down..

Also tried again but then tried to lead them over a path going back and forth infront of my archers.. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=190895990 Was working on a 3rd and even higher lane but game and AI became incredibly sluggish on my system.

Another good idea i use is building 2x2 block towers up to the wall height and building a bridge out to them so my archers can stand out away from the wall giving them a chance to hit oncoming enemies and if they by pass and start on the main wall the archers can pick them up.

usually i run a sealed wall with a stair case that is two stairs wide maybe 3 up and i build wall on each side so they cant just skip up the sides of the stairs. When night falls i get everyone inside and put to melee knights side by side on guard mode so the enemies must funnel at them.

You can fiddle it to have 2 extra knights on the left and right with so you have 4x the damage on each set of corruptons. You will however still need to have them run down and kill the enemies that get "bored" and stuck on the walls breaking ♥♥♥♥.

I like to also use the 2x2 block strat to build bridges from my mine to my base so enemies cant hit the workers.
