possible 20% off sell soon?
I have been eagerly waiting to get this game, i have finally got a job and my 1st pay check, but i am not sure i can realistically dish out 20 bucks for the game at the moment. Is it possible this game will go on sell for some percentage for a weekend madness or something?

At $19.99 from GameStop is how I purchased a license to download and play the retail version of Retrovirus.

MOST games are priced at $39.99 to $59.99 in stores.

$19.99 is an excellent price already.

It would be nice for Cadenza to recoup the cost of developing this game before they do a 20% off sale.

As a long time software developer (over 35 years), I know that it takes a lot of time, a lot of effort, a lot of planning, and a lot of money to develop a software program as fine as Retrovirus.

That doesn't include the price of the many software packaged used to do the development of Retrovirus... such as Microsoft Visual Studio to compile the Source Code for the Project into the running executable program, then the Music / Sound Editors, etc.

Then a LOT of testing all along the way.

:)

I understand this, but a sell might actualy bring in more sells. Right now they are hardly breaking even i am assuming, if a sell was advertised on the main page, more sells might happen and make the online play more active. 15 dollars is better than 0 dollars :P

Although we cannot promise specific dates, Cadenza is in touch with Steam/Valve and is working on a number of sales, packages, and weekend specials to help with the general exposure of Retrovirus and to give people an opportunity to get the game at a discounted price. Our experience from Sol Survivor has taught us that those events and weekends bring in a tremendous number of new gamers who have yet to be reached. Currently we are working hard to stabilize the most outstanding issues, address community submitted bug reports, improve and add content to the multiplayer and challenge modes. When those events happen we want to ensure Retrovirus is running as optimally as possible so our new players have the best experience possible. Look forward to new content patches shortly and the release of the Retrovirus level editor, Paragon.

Blarget2,

I agree.

The level editor will add a lot more dimension to this already excellent game.
