FOV, graphical options, checkpoints and other questions.
What's the standard FOV and can it be adjusted?

Which engine does Retrovirus use, does it support DirectX 11 features?

Could someone post a screenshot of the (graphics) options menu?

Can this game be saved at anytime or does it use a checkpoint system?

Does it use regenerating health, medkits or another mechanic?

Thanks in advance.

FOV looks really narrow, puke warning.... any way to change?

The standard FOV is 60... and it can be adjusted in the Options Screen > Game Play Tab

There's not much in the graphics settings, just resolution, quality, FOV, FXAA, other fairly basic stuff. There's checkpoints between levels and inside levels, quicksave, and manual save. I doubt it uses any DX11 features but neither do lots of other beautiful games.

The graphics aren't the most amazing in the world but they're quite good for an indie game.

The only thing so far that I really have an issue with is the confusing level layout and objectives. I played and beat (and loved) Descent 1,2,3 but I still find these levels rather confusing at times despite them not being very complex. The meaning of an objective is rarely very clear, so a few times I've had to use the waypoint system which basically draws a line where you're supposed to go. There's no automap like in Descent.

Maybe the best way I can explain it overall is that it's more similar to Forsaken than Descent.

I'm still enjoying it though. It has a lot of neat stuff Descent didn't, like unlockable skills.

Is there anyway to make the game run faster on craptops?
