why is trying to jump out of water onto solid ground so annoying

i jump up and fall back in
like 85% of the time

does this happen for everyone or just me? i tried just swimming up, i tried holding space to 'jump' out
i've used a controller
no fix just hoping that it works

i don't remember it being that bad but i played it like years ago lol

literally the only thing in the game that i found to be bad, and i played both campaigns through fully in like half a day or w/e yesterday

Yeah, I had the same issue. First example I can think of was the pool with the health pickup inside it right at the first level of TFE. It frustrated me so much that I eventually decided to just quick load to before I jumped in.

Happy that I'm not the only one that has this issue. Too used to how easy it is to get out of water in other games. XD

Mind, get the feeling you'd also have troubles climbing out of water if you were carrying all the ♥♥♥♥ that Sam has to carry on his person. Just try to climb out of a pool while carrying two revolvers, a combat knife, a chainsaw, a tommy gun, a minigun, a single barreled shotgun, a double barreled shotgun, a laser gun, a rocket launcher, a grenade launcher, a portable cannon, and however much ammo you need to keep the things firing (and much more with the added weapons). :P

We're still trying to figure out what's causing this. For now just jump right before ledge instead of swimming into it.

In short, don't treat the whole thing like you're playing Half-Life. Good to know. XD

It hasn't. I compared Revolution side-by-side with the original game and jumping out of the water is very simple, even pressing "jump" isn't required.
