I always find it funny when people say "all you do is shoot stuff" and give it a bad review, ITS A SHOOTING GAME WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!!! they obviously did not play it long enough to experence the great squad system the massive world battles/events IE:
Giant monsters (Brontadon King aka: BK)
Massive buildings being overrun and need liberating
Special Monsters you have to find and kill
5 massive areas
Giant end game bosses
Thumping for items
the list goes on..................
I found Firefall to be a great new fresh approach to the MMO/FPS titles, I have over 270 hours in the game and have not spent £1 so far I have 5 level 40 battleframes all with good to decent gear, the game is a grind sure but thats the point of MMO's right? coampred to other MMO's this game throws exp at you, try playing FFXI FFIV WOW or Rift and see how much of a grind they are ,you get NO exp loss when you die only damage to your battleframe that you can repair in 20 seconds, you can get to level 10 in about 1 hour on any of the basic frames with no need to spend any real money ingame unless you want to "support" the devs (something I have yet to do/decide) great ingame community, looks amazing, plays really well, great crafting system and perks, massive world events and varied terrains with lots of places to explore and easy map leveling system to follow for the beginner there is NOTHING hidden behind ingame pay walls to stop you from getting to the top level of 40 and end game content.
You can get the Redbeans for free by converting crystite into credits and then credits into redbeans
(crystite is dropped by all mobs in game)
25.000 of crystite gives you 1000 credits
109 credits gives you 1 redbean
If you play for long enough (say a couple of hours a day, like I do) after 3 weeks you will have enough redbeans to buy some decent in game items faster bikes, re-usable jump pads, battleframe colors ect all for free.
